for some odd reason i am just in love with baking right now. i don't even have a fancy for sweets. but there is something about baking. the pacing. the precision. the ability to make something that so many people enjoy. so last night we trekked to macy's (just as bad an unforgivable scene in the after christmas frenzy) and picked up one of these beauties. even though we have a red motif going in our kitchen, we weren't impressed with the rouge red. it was just a bit too dark and matte (a cherry red would've been a winner). so instead we chose the metallic chrome. utilitarian, but smart looking. crumb cake and french baguette to come tomorrow! :)
